STEVEDORES’ COOLIES DEMAND BIGGER PAY.
DELHI , May 6
Work at the docks at Rangoon is practically at a standstill, owing to a strike of stevedores’ coolies wh) demand increased pay. The stevedores agreed to an ncrease, but owing to their existing contracts asked for a postponement for two months, which tlio coolies rejected.—Reuter.
