WINDOWS VALUED AT £SOO WILFULLY BROKEN.
SENTENCE DEFERRED,
•WELLINGTON, May 6. At the Supreme Court to-day Re - Hinalfl Nelson White pleaded guilty to a charge of wilfully destroying 01 damaging eight plate glass windows of the value of £SOO. (■ Counsel said that accused was laboring under considerable stress the time, and had received three or four drinks of whisky from a menu. He did not remember doing the damage. .. His Honor said ho could not decide what to do with the prisoner at the moment, and would consider the sentence.
ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER
WELLINGTON, May 6. Pruera Tangaroa, on a charge o attempting to murder William Itoss at Parownnui on 27th April, was remanded to appear at Palmerston North on the 14th inst. —P.A.
STUDENT FINED FOR FORGER* - . INVERCARGILL, May 6. Stewart Bell MacLennan who pleaded guilty to forgery in connection with the teachers’ “D” examination was fined £lO, no alternative to non-payment being made meantime.
