MEETING.
LONDON, May 4. The Sunday Times states that British official circles observe reticence regarding the Chequers Conference. Although it is generally felt that the conference brings nearer a meeting between Mr MacDonald and M. Poincare, it is said to be extremely improbable that such a meeting will take place until the French general election is over.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
