“THE RED FLAG”

SUNG BY 'LABORITES INSTEAD' OF NATIONAL ANTHEM.

MELBOURNE, May 5. At an official reception at the Trades Hall, attended by leaders of the Labor movement, including members of Parliament, a local toast was submitted at the opening of the programme, but in place of the National Anthem, a verse from the “Red Flag” was sung. Many persons remained seated.—U.P.A.
