The secretary reported that lie had extended the date for receiving entries for one day, till the committee met to decide whether fui tiler extension would be allowed. The action of the secretary was approved and it was decided to receive uitries up to 5 y.m. on Friday, 3rd August. r ! he secretary reported that the curies so far received totalled £35, and further entries weio expected. Messrs. XieoJl, Harre. Salmon and Cawshaw were appointed a sub-com-mittee to deal with those classes where only one or two entries had been received and to report to next meeting whether any classes should be cut out. It was decided to include two extra, classes in the dancing section, viz., Highland Fling under 0, and fancy I dancing under 1), there being a probability of good entries in those classes. Any children under 9 already entered in the classes under 12 will be transferred to the new classes. The secretary reported that there were two requests. that the age limit for the song in costume over 12 and under 16 be altered to include competitors who had turned 16, but the committee decided that it was too late to make any alteration in the age limit, and that the rule as ill eluded in the conditions, must be ad bored to. A letter received from the V.'aiknnai Beach Society was held over. Consideration of the question of judging the Reel of Tullock -w as also held ovei till next meeting, which was fixed fui Friday, August 3, at -5 p.in.
