GISDOI INE A SSOCIATON. The committee of the Gisborne Boling Association met last evening, the chairman (Air B. H. Aislabie) presiding. It was decided to notify entrants in the amateur championships that they must report- at the training rooms at 7 o’clock this (Tuesday) evening for medical examination. Competitors and their trainers are requested to apply to the secretary for their passes to the tournament. It was stated that one or two amateurs bad not yet registered, and it was resolved to notify ti’.c.-c to call at the Palace Theatre after the medical examination. The secretary reported that tlie hex plans were filling lr.pidly, anti there was every anticipation of a very large ’attendance at the coming tournament, which would commence tomorrow (Wednesday) evening, when tin first bouts in the amateur championships would be. contested. Day sale tickets at C. Yv. Muir's and A. Owen's shops were selling well. Eleven new members were elected. The. secretary read a letter from two Sydney “spoits,” Alessrs .Tacky Morris and Peter Higgins, congratulating the Association on securing the services of Jim ITctt. Whatever was the outcome, it was stated, the Association could feci sure that licit wculd be on his feet at the end <4 IS rounds. Flett was one of the cleverest ringer?.?*- men in N.S.W., and was one of the heaviest punishers.
