PRICE OF EGGS IN CANTERBURY. At the shareholders’ meeting of the Canterbury Co-operative Poultry Producers, Ltd., held last week, it was agreed to support the directors in keeping the wholesale price of eggs at 2s 4d- per dozen for local demands. It was pointed out that by keeping eggs at tliis price the consumption would continue for several weeks as tho public would get their eggs at 2s 7d per dozen. It was stated that eggs in Dunedin are sold at 2s Id to 2s 2d per dozen, and if the market were raised beyond 2s 4d in Christchurch it would result in eggs coming in from the South, which would result in breaking the market.
