LONDON, May V Being unable to communicate to his mother, who lived in the isolated Bedfordshire village of Frit wick, the news that a man was dangerously ill, the Middlesex Hospital authorities asked a wireless broadcasting company to broadcast a message; says the London Daily Mail. Within a few. minutes 30 offers to lend motor cars reached the hospital. A listener in Bedfordshire, heard the appeal, turned out in his car, an drove the mother to Luton, where sh caught a train for London.
