ANNUAL CONFERENCE
AUCKLAND, Feb. 23. At the Methodist Conference the following laymen were elected to the stationing committee: Auckland, Messrs Yeale, Peak and Holdsworth; South Auckland, Messrs Tidd and Rayner • Wanganui and Taranaki, Messrs Dixon, M.P., and Am bury; Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu, Messrs Hodder and Venables; Wellington, Messrs Daniel and Denton; Nelson. Messrs Penny and Pulley; North Canterbury, Messrs Isitt, M.P., Kershaw, and Buttle; South Canterbury, Messrs Watson and Workman; Otago, Messrs Rosevear and George; Solomon Islands, Mr. Field. It was resolved to send an address to the Iking expressing the loyalty of all Methodists in New Zealand. It was decided that a message of congratulation should be * sent the Rev.' Josiah Ward, of Carterton, cn the completion of fifty years’ in the ministry in New Zealand. An official thanksgiving service was held this evening, the President the Rev. C. Laws preaching cn <‘Remembrance and Faithfulness.” — P.A.
