SIR ROBERT STOUT.
democratic simplicity of DL judicial committee.
VIEWS ON' IRELAND
SYDNEY, Dec. 29. Sir Robert Stout will sail for New Zealand on Friday. He retains sant memories ot the Privy Coun c il He was struck with the demo- “ cratic simplicity of the Committee, and contrasted it with the ostentation and display generally imagined. Judges without robes in ordinary street attire are seated around, a table in a big 11 7 room. There are no policemen ar officers in uniform. The simplici y is in keeping with procedure which is the simplest in the world. H Heves that it will be some time before the spirit of peace and brotherhood will be manifested m Ireland He regrets that some arrangement was not affected in Gladstone s day. At the same time it was mot right Ho say that Ulster should be forced out of the Union. —-U.r.A-
