Direct evidence to the contrary is found in a Washington dispatch, which states that President Harding intends to request, early consideration, and the prompt passing of a measure providing for the funding of Allied debts. A Washington correspondent, however, qualifies the statement, commenting that the present temper of Congress, particularly the Senate, makes the passage of such a measure very dubious indeed—no matter how strongly the President may urge it.— United Service.
