(Received Aug. 10, 10 p.m., LONDON, Aug. iv). It is reliably reported from Dublin that the terms Mr. Lloyd George of'fered De Valera include: Ireland to completely control policing and Irish taxation; defence to be controlled T>y the United Kingdom, subject to a mutual understanding with the Northern and Southern Parliaments, with the offer of special facilities for recruiting for Dash regiments in the Imperial army. It is believed also that the proposals include one that Ireland bear a proportionate share of the late war pensions.—A. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
