WORSHIPPED AT MUNICH. (Received Aug. 9, 8 p.m.) LONDON. Aug. 8. The. Daily Express Munich correspondent states that while Britain is still suffering from war-time liquor restrictions Munichers joyously celebrated the return of the beer drinkers’ status quo. A gigantic statue of Gargbrinus the Beer-God, was erected in the principal Ha l and the cellars were connected with the mouth of the statute, . from which was poured a continuous stream of beer of pre-war strength, which was supplied free to hundreds of men, women and children wlio brought tankards, *■ pots nnd pans and drank . t-o the Beer God and participated in dances. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
