New Zealand ports was being ' offered to factories for cheese in bulk. This offer covers the Ivhole of next season’s output. The retuyn for butter on this basis would be about two shillings per pound f.o.b. Storekeepers would then pay. about 2s 2d for butter in pats, against 2s Id, now being paid, and the price to consumers in the Dominion would have to increase to at least 2s del since the Government will not continue paying the subsidy after Aug ust.—Special.
