Mr. Wildish stated that they left Gisborne early on Wednesday morning and went to Manutuke with the Parliamentary party. Leaving Manutuke at about 10.30 am. they reached the Wharerata lull with safety, but, before they had negotiated the hill they met with a mishap. Ihe trip was marked by the usual motorists experiences, several blow-outs and punctures occurring. At one place, this side of Wairoa, a tyre came rffiht off, hut these delays were taken with the usual equanimity of the motorist. ,
