WEDDING BELLS.

HALEY—SIMMONS

-V pretty and popular wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church. Gisborne. on Wednesday last, when Mr. .T. H. Haley, third son of the late Mr. ,L W. Haley, of Soutlibridge, Canterbury, was married to Miss F. W. Simmons, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. IT. Simmons, of Gisborne The Rev. It. Pa eke was the officiating clergyman. The church was beautifully’ decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful frock of white charmeuse, veiled with georgette and silver trimmings. A hand-embroidered veil was held in place with a spray of orange blossoms and the bridal bouque . was of white roses and Elies. The bridesmaids were Miss Aleata Smale and Miss Elsie Lawrence. They were attired in pretty frocks of pink and mauve crepe-de-chine respectively and carried bouquets of asters and roses. The bridegroom’s present to the bnde was a beautiful gold brooch, and to the bridesmaids pendants in chain, and bracelet respectively. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Dean Ilacche as best, man, and Mr. W. E. Allsup a. groomsman. The bride’s mother was attired in a handsome gown of navyhand embroidered georgette, with hat en suite, and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridal party left the church to the strains of the Wedding March, Mr. E. N. Sidebottom presiding at the organ.
