ELINOR GLYN’S DARING STORY

To morrow night, at His Majesty’s Theatre, the- sensational picture, dramatised from Elinor Glyn’s remarkable book. "The Career of Katherine Bush,” will he the main attraction. The supporting programme will include- a dazzling comedy, "In For Thirty Days,” in which the favorite New Metro star, May Allison, will play the leading role. "The Career of 'Katherine Bush” was written by Elinor Glyn at the- height of her career. It is the story of a pretty typistc, who had beauty-—and brains —and nothing else. She meets Lord Algernon Fitz-Rufus, a dashing and charming "man about town.” She determines to use him as the means to learning the nature of gentlemen and their ways, and so she goes away with him for a couple of weeks. Then slip decides ,to make a career for herself. She was quite untroubled by what the world calls morality. "Some day I shall be one of the greatest women in England,” she told herself. She saw it all. The triumph she craved, the way to ■attain it, and the price she would have to pay. Then calmly, deliberately, she made her choice, and plunged into the big, fierce game for power and human hearts. She did not stop to ask the question that a woman with brains, beauty and ability to attract men can live her own life, regardless, and win. Elinor Glyn in her story supplies th’e answer. It is an amazing history of such a woman’s soul. Catherine Calvert is the star in this powerful film-drama. Miss Calvert’s beauty and artistry arv conspicuously displayed in the production. and supported as she is by so many screen artists of distinction and reputation, the play rises to heights of supreme merit. The production of "The Career of Katherine Bush” is on the most lavish scale. It is advised that intending patrons .should book as early as possible. Seats mav be booked at Muir’s.
