EMPLOYERS URGED TO EXTEND WORKING HOURS. SUGGESTED METHOD TO MEET’ DEFIC.I ENT' PRODUCTION. (Received' April 23. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. April 22. The Association of British Chambers of Commerce passed a resolution urging ihp Government to appeal to the Employers’ Federation and to trades unions to temporarily extend the working hours to meet the deficiency in production, thereby rendering more experts available to assist to check depreciation of British currency abroad. The Association also passed a resolution that a furthor reduction of hours would inflict irreparable injury on the trade of the country.—lmperial News Service.
