He took a desperate risk by jumping from a carriage lavatory window, when the train was- at full speed, close to the Middlemore goif links at Man.gore Crossing, and while lucky in escaping serious injury, ho was so knocked about and .shaken by the Fall that lie was not able to get far from the lino before one of the escorting warders got back there and recaptured him.
