PRICE OF FLOUR.
GAZETTE, ERROR CORRECTED. Association Teleeram. _ WELLINGTON, April 23 Some weeks ago there was published in the Gazette a notice regarding the price of flour, which was not easily intelligible. It appeared that the i'.o.b. price was to he £l6 10s- at Scut hern ports, and that in other parts of the country the price was to he this rate of £l6 10s, _ plus other charges incurred in bringing the Ilnur"' to the place of its ultimate sale to the bread maker, but in the notice there was mention ol a rate of CIS- per ton for Hour for -a certain place and tho rate was to ho increased, as per the notice, by the charges above mentioned, in the special notice of Thursday in the Gazette this quote of £lB per ton is cancelled. The rate is now fixed at £l6 10s per ton, and in the case of the ports distant from the wheat ports of the South Island the rate is to he Cl 6 10s, with the addition of the costs, of bringing the Hour to those places. A member of the Board of Trade when asked for an explanation of tlie point, said that the first notice bad been published in error, and that the notice of this week’s Gazette was merely a correction of the error previous! v made.
