ROWING.

The races for the Joyce Memorial Trophies were rowed last evening under the auspices of the Poverty Bav club. „ m J. Mellor (str.), E. Stuckey T. McEwen, M. Burt beat L. Walters, F Stichbury. E. Walters, S. Fergus. Mellor got the best of the start and was never headed, winning by half a length after a good race. C. Lloyd, B. Martin. J. Ivanoe, W Edwards heat L. ONeill, C. Corbett, S. Fergus. G. Duncan. Both crews got away together and at the Pottie bridge Lloyd had a slight lead which lie held to the finish, winning bv two feet. 'To-night J. ONeills crew will meetS Ledger’s crew, and W. Rangi s crew will row R. Patty’s crew. The races will start at o o clock.
