THE LATE MR. JOHN WARREN.

THE LATE ME. JOHN WARREN

Peeling reference to the late Mr. Warren was made at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning by the Rev. Jas. Aitken, and a great many of the congregation, particularly the older members, were deeply affected upon learning of the passing of one who had been such a conspicuous figure in the Church for so many years. “There are many of you who will learn with deep regret that Mr. John Warren parsed away this morning one o’clock,” announced the Minister. “It is not very long since he worshipped with us. but these last few weeks have been weeks of great distress and much pain. Mr. Warren wa s J|ssocinted with our congregation for; a great number of years. For 'thirty years he held the office of elder and took a keen interest in everything connected with the Church.* Especially he devoted himself to the Sunday School, with which he was associated for thirty-five years, and though often discouraged he held on faithfully to his post as superintendent. Those of you who knew him best will miss him greatly. All of us to-day will sympathise with the members of his family who mourn his loss. He had reached the age of 75 years; he has passed to-day to where beyond these voices there is peace.” At the meeting of the Harbor Board yesterday the chairman (Mr. F. J.
