GIRL AWARDED £lB3 DAMAGES
At the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr- J. S. Barton S.M., Florance Lilian Jackson (Mr Nolan) proceeded against Harold M a £ e Thompson, for the sum of £585 ,°s general damages and £l6 4s special damages. Defendant was not represented and did not appear. John Miller Jackson, father of the plaintiff, and shepherd at the laruheru freezing works, said that on the night of June 29 last. year, three of his children were walking to town in. a direction which would bring them fnto Gladstone road.
