LONDON. July 23. Mr. Hoover, the American Food Controller, speaking at the Mansion House, said that owing to America’s efforts, there was no need to.restrict shipments of foodstuffs to Europe in tlit- forthcoming year. The period of anxieties in connection with the Allies’ essential foodstuffs had passed.
