HOCKEY.

P.B. ASSOCIATION

The weekl v meeting of the P.B. Hockey Association was held last evening. Mr. G. R. Buscke presiding. The draw for Thursday’s matches resulted in Kia. Toa meeting Allies on No I ground, referees Messrs McLachlan and Grade.

On No 2 ground High School A meet High School 8., referees Messrs Dougall and Eton. On Saturday Huia A will play Huia B, referees Messrs Sim and Dougall. The match played yesterday afternoon between Huia A and High School A resulted in a win for Huia after a well-contested game by 3' goals to nil. For the winners M. Hookey scored twice and E. Miller found the not on the third .occasion. The Huia team played well throughout, their clearing being most effective, while the High School forwards lacked their usual combination and dash. The High School backs defended well, but speculating cost them many opportunities of clearing. The game was controlled by Messrs Sim and Gellior.
