GERMAN FLEET REPORTED OUT
VANCOUVER, June 12
A message from New York says that Ribar-Admjiral Gleasis declares that the United States has a .large number of battleships preparing, side by side with the best ships of the British navy, for an engagement on the high seas with the German Fleet, which is expected at any time. • He says: “I’m not going beyond the border line of secrecy when I say that a few days ago there came an alarm to the heads of th e British navy that the German battleships were about to come out. I know American ships were given a post of honor in preparation for the attack.”
