UNAUTHORISED VISITS BY WOMEN. Australian and N.Z- Cable Association (Received June 20, 1 a.m.) LONDON, June. 19. The newspapers give prominence to the curious court-martial . of Lieut. Canning. Accused criticised his commanding officer fcejcatijse hei allowed ladies to pay unauthorised visits to Baron von Plesson and Counts Mettermch and Nethenblad, who are interned, at Wakefieldl. ' The evidence showed .- that Mrs. Leverton Harris, wife of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minist-fi-v of. Blockade, secured a Home Office order to visit Baron von Plesison alone without supervision, and took parcels > with contraband goods. Lieut. Canning was acquitted.
