ANOTHER DEADLOCK REACHED

AUCKLAND, May 6. The Labor Disputes Committee, under the presidency of H-n. Goo Fowlds, sat to-day in connection with the tramways dispute The men’s representative simported that the chairmanship should have a casting vote, as provided by the Act, but Mr. YValklute. for the company, objected. Neither side would deviate from the position, and no progress was made towards a settlement.
The committee adjourne 1 till tomorrow morning, when the chairman will submit suggestions with a view to effecting a settle m rt,
