STRENGTH OF THE PEOPLE. Reuter’s Telegrams. (Received June 6, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 6. Since the war. Post Office applications for war loan exchequer bonds and war savings certificates have totalled £191,000,000. Thi s lias not affected the savings bank deposits, •which are now £185,400,000, as compared with £185,000,000 for the previous year. These figures are a remarkable tribute to tho financial strength of the country.
