Post Office applications for war loan exchequer bonds and war savings certificates have totalled £191,000,000. Thi s lias not affected the savings bank deposits, •which are now £185,400,000, as compared with £185,000,000 for the previous year. These figures are a remarkable tribute to tho financial strength of the country.
