Mr. Massey, speaking at Batley, said that from the beginning of the war he had been confident that the Empire would come through the crisis stronger, better and brighter. Ho hoped that a post-war effort would be made to keep Britishers within the Empire. The future of the Empire rested largely" on the Dominions. The Empire should be made self-contained and self-supporting.
