United Press Association —Copyright. (Australian and N.Z. Cable* Assn.) LONDON. Jan. 26.
Tlie report of Lord Islington’s Indian Services Commission, appointed in 1912, has been published. It recommends changes whereby Indians shall receive a far greater number of executive posts in various administrative branches until they ultimately hold a minimum of one-fourth. It urges educational development to enable India to supply a number of scientific and technical services. A notable change in the recruiting of Indian civil servants in England consists in lowering the eligible age five years to enable recruits to receive longer specialised training.
