SOLDIERS' RAILWAY PASSES.
CONCESSIONS r "0 RETURNED MEN. The Minister of Defence has issued instructions to the various recruiting offices that returned discharged soldiers, on application, will be issued with a throe-week railway pass, available over any of the Government railways in the. Dominion, provided that they have not previously received that privilege since their return from Egypt. • Applicants for passes may select period must expire prior to April 30 any period of three weeks, hut the next. This date has been selected in order to give men who have returned to work the benefit of making use or file concession during the Easter holidays. Returned soldiers supplied with passes will find it necessary to wear their uniforms when travelling on the trains, ms the Defence Minister’s order proscribes that guards are not to recognise a pass if the bearer is in mufti. Special permission must be obtained from the Defence officials for permission for apnlieants to wear the uniform. The railway pass and certificate of permission to wear the uniform will be liable to cancellation in the case of unseemly behavior on the part cf the bearer.
