The Mexico was timer-laden from Laguand to’ Liverpol, and her crew numbered, ten. Five of the Fethard life-boat’s crew were married, one leaving a wife and ten children. It was a tempestuous week and the entire British coast was swept by stormy seas. Many wrecks are reported and and rockets saved fivo lives. The survivors of the Mexico spent a terrible night on the rock. They have been without food since Friday, There are no signs of the gale abating. It is feared the men will succumb before rescue is possible. The tempest compelled the lifeboats and tug to return to port. All the lifeboat Fehtrad’s crew were drowned. The men on the rocks belong to the schooner Mexico. Seven corpses of lifeboatmen have been washed ashore.
