PROPOSAL TO REVIVE DEPTFORD MARKETS. [UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] (Received May 27. 11.30 p.md LONDON, May 2/. Mr. D. Collins, chairman of the Cattle Markets Committee, states that the Corporation of London .is negotiating with the Government with a view to reviving the Deptford market as a- centre of colonial supplies. Besides being an advantage in peace time this would render Britain independent of foreign countries in wartime.
