MEXICO RESENTFUL OF UNCLE SAM’S INTERFERENCE. DREADFUL MASSACRE BY YAQUI INDIANS. rUNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] (Received Dec. 22, 5.5 p.m.) MEXICO CITY, Dec. 22. The Government’s reply to the United States’ representations is full of resentment against Mr Knox’s charges of ill-treatment of Americans, alleging that in many cases the Americans themselves were blameworthy. An ultimatum is now being prepared. Yaqui Indians massacred a thousand people at San Marcial, in Sonora State.
The American quarter outside the town escaped. The Yaquis did not show quarter, butchering everybody.
