The competition between the Gisborne and Turanganui Clubs for the Witty Pennant took place on the Gisborne Club’s green on Thursday, when the Turanganui Club secured the much coveted trophy by 59 points to 55 points. The scores were: Turanganui (Howard, Arnold, Spiers and Simson, skip) 19 beat Gisborne (Zaehariah, Crawford, Craig and R. Robertson, skip) 17; Turanganui (Taylor, Hay, Gray and Sawyer, skip) 21 beat Gisborne (W. Pettie, J. Craig, J. Ponsford and J. Coleman skip) 17; Gisborne (L. T. Brown, T. Corson,- W. A. Smith and C. H. Ambridge, skip) 21, beat Turanganui (Ilird, Thelwell, Neil and Martin, skip) 19. JEUNE PENNANT.
The Jeune Pennant was played for on the Turanganui green when Turanganui won by 78 points to 41.
