DR. COLLINS TO HAVE AN OPPONENT. MR. JOHN COLLEY ANNOUNCES HIMSELF. To a “Gisborne Times” reporter yesterday Vlr John Colley said that he had definitely made up his mind to oppose Cr. Collins in regard to the vacancy on the Council. He " ill stand as an independent. Mr Colley has had previous experience extending over some years on the Council. It is stated that if Mr J. Colley finds that untimately he is unable to contest the by-election for the vacant seat on the Borough Council. Mr J. F. Sheridan mav reconsider his decision and allow himself to be nominated.
