THE ITALIANS AT RHODES. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] (Received Mav S. 1.5 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, May 7. Heliographic reports state that the Italians gave Rhodes an hour to surrender, and the Governor refused. The Italians then bombarded the town.
Two thousand Turks on the hills are expected to conduct a guerilla warfare. They are plentifully supplied with ammunition and provisions, and have an abundance of spare rifles for arming the natives.
