During last week the Customs revenue collected at Gisborne was as follows - Customs duties £B6B 6s -od. light due’s £lB 0s sd, arid shipping fees 0s Dd.

The Salvation Army Band played an attractive programme of music, which was highly appreciated, in tlie Hospital grounds yesterday afternoon.

The 17th annua! meeting of the Gisborne Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society is to take place this afternoon in the grounds of Ven. Archdeacon Williams (kindly lent for tlie occasion’), Cobclen street. The Ladies' Committee will provide afternoon tea- free. In the absence of the president (Dr Porter), through i lines-. .Mr A. de Jjautour will preside. Admission will lie free, and there- will be a collection for the Society.

Mr A. A. Paape. the organising secretary of tlie Sports Protection League. will visit Gisborne about December 20th and address a meeting regarding the League.
