WANGANUI, May 22. Mrs Melville, about 26 years of age, wife of a tailor residing at Eastown, disappeared on Saturday and has not been seen since. (She left a note saying hood-bye, as she could not stand tlie worry any longer.

The wax portion of a box of matches was found in the kitchen, and it is feared that the unfortunate woman has suicided. Two children, 13 mouths and 5 years of age, were left on the verandah. The mother told them she was going to bring them lollies.
