On arrival at home, the wife, who was afraid of deceased when in drink, went to bed with her five children, leaving the deceased up. He said, “Good-bye. La.ter she heard the crackling of burning timber, and had only just time to get tli© children out of the house, the building being consumed within half nil hour. Deceased’s body was found near a wimjow burned almost to a cinder, his' legs being burned completely off. It is surmised that the fire was caused through the deceased letting a kerosene lamp fall.
