A MOHAKA GRAZING RUN.

The following are the particulars of the opening up of 2512 acres as a grazing run for 21 years, with right of renewal, under the Land jLcl, 1392, and its amendments: Description: Section 1, Run No. 10; block,. HI.; half-yearly rent, £3l LUs. Weighted with £2300, valuation for\improvements, consisting of foOO acres felling, 1000 acres grassing, and five miles fencing. Locality and Description: Situated on the Moliaka River, about sixteen miles distant from Moliaka, with access by fair dray road to the main Napicr-M’airoa coach road. ’Mostly hilly pastoral country, with flats on the hank of the Moliaka River, capable of being ploughed. Altitude, from 000 ft to 1400 ft above sea level. Originally light bush and scrub land, carrying patches of native grass. Light soil, overlying clay and papa formation; -well watered. Possession will be given on Ist March, 1008. Conditions of Lease: 1. Applicants to lie 17 voars of ago and upwards. 2. Term of lease, 21 years, with right of renewal. 3. Rental to bo paid m advance on Ist March and 1 V September in. each year. 4. Applicants to furnish statutory declaration with applications, and, on being declared successful, denosit £1 Is (lease fee), a half-year’s rent, and the valuation for improvements, if any. 5. No person may hold more than one run except on tho recommendation of the Laud Board, and with tho approval of the Minister of Lands. 6. Improvements : Lessee is required to improvo the run within one year to tho value of one year’s rental, within two years to the value of two yeais rental, and within six years to the value of four years’ rcntil. In audition to the foregoing, improvements are also to be effected within six years to the value of 10s per acre for overv acre of first-class land., an<l os per aero for every acre of secondclass land. Any money paid as valuation for imnrovements will be allowed as substantial improvements upon the land. 7. On expiry of term ot lease, lessee’s improvements will be valued and protected. 8. Residence must commence within three years in the case of bush land or swamp land, and within one year in the case ol open or partly open land, and be continuous .until the expiration of lease. 9. Lease is liable to rorfeituie if conditions are violated. Ballot: A ballot, if liecessarv. will be held at the District Lands Office. Napier, on Saturday, February 29th.
