CARDINAL MORAN.
WELCOMED AT ROTORUA. I’iess Association. ROTORUA, Fob. 18. Two 1 Ih/usaml people assembled at 11 1 c*> railway station to-night, many being umlor the impression that the I’romier was arriving. Many proson I:, however, extended a welcome to Cardinal Moran. The Premier is coining l>y motor car, and is expected |,o arrive at 8.30, owing to a delay at I lnntly. Cardinal Moran received a great reception, and the town band played on the approach oi the train. Dean Uhditheart welcomed the Cardinal, and the Maori chief Meta Taupopoki welcomed him on helm 11 <>l the Maoris, of whom a large number were present. The Cardinal was driven to the Crand Hotel, headed by the town hand and followed by a largo concourse of people, A public address will be presented to the Cardinal to-morrow.
