POVERTY BAY HUNT CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club was held at the Masonic Hotel on Saturday afternoon, Mr. F. Pattullo being in the chair. The following balance-sheet was submitted and passed:—Receipts: Balance brought forward £8 16s 7d, subscriptions £B2 19s lid, profit from a race meeting £3B 11s 6d; total, £l3O Bs. Expenditure: Wages, advertising, kennels, etc., £lO4 os lOd, balance £26 2s 2d. Outstanding accounts £23 14s 4d; outstanding subscriptions £5 10s. The following officers were elected:
—President, Mr. R. Sberratt; vicepresidents, Messrs. M. Jackson and E. Murphv; committee, Messrs. A. R. Hine, G. Reynolds, T. Sherratt v J. M. Gouldsmith, S. Newman, hi. R. Sberratt; master, secretary, SAid treasurer, Mr. AY. G. Sberratt; !handicapper for races, Mr. C. J. Bennett. It was decided to hold the opening meet on the first Saturday in April. If possible the hounds will be exercised for three weeks before the opening meet. It was decided to endeavor to have a meet on the Te Arai estate before it is cut up, and to meet at Air Black’s early in the season. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Jackson for having looked after the hounds.
