WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25. (Before Mr. 4V. A. Barton, S.M.) Drunkenness. —Rickard Solomon lVas charged with being found drunk, and was convicted and fined the sum-of £l, costs 2s, in default 4 days’ imprisonment. —Jas. Alfred Weston was charged with a similar offence and was fined 10s, costs 2s, in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. Refusing to quit Licensed Premises. —Richard Solomon was further charged with refusing to quit the licensed promises of tho Record Reign Hotel when ordered to do so by tho licensee, Joseph Burke. Accused was convicted and fined the sum of £l, costs 2s, in default 4 days’ imprisonment, the sentence to be cumulative to the former one. Excessive Drinking.—William Charles Whitfield was charged, on the information of his wife, with injuring his health by the excessive use of intoxicants. His Worship issued a. prohibition order against accused for a period of 12 months. Civil Case.—Michael Malier, trainer. sued Frank Burke, barman, for tlie recovery of. a stop-watch of the value of £6 10s, and £1 10s damages for its detention. Judgment was entered for the plaintiff, by consent for the value of the watch £6 10s with costs £1 3s 6d.
