MASTERTON, last nigbt. The Wairarapa Poultry, Canary, and Pigeon Show opened to-day. There were good all-round exhibits. In Langshans H. Madely (Masterton) wis the principal prize-taker. In Plymouth rocks W. J. Spackman and Mrs W. Waltely took the prizes. In Oipingtons T. Rutherford, A. Snodgrass, J. H. Payton, J. Maxwell, r. Moor, and E. Adams (Dannevirke) took prizes. In Wyandottes T. R. Boyos (Karori), W. A. Boyes (Eketabuna), W. Cruickshank (Eketahuiia), J. H. Payton (Masterton), and Mrs. E. Ross (Masterton) sepured the majority of first prizes. In Minorcas W. Cochrane, T. J. Raynor, and A. Hendry took the first prizes. 11l Leghorns J. J. Thomason (Eketalmna), T. W. Barnes (Masterton), and C- B. Eagle (Carterton) were the pr 111 cip a 1 prize-takers. In Andalusians R. Bailey (Karori) won lot North Island championship. i- JFrance (Lower Hutt) took two first prizes. In Houdans M. Wilton (Masterton) won all tlio-first prizes. In Canipincs and Favourolles T. J. 1Cobb (Masterton) took two firsts. In tlic game class R. E. Graham secured all the prizes except one. In Hamburgs W. Drummond, G. E. Fearn (Karori), Mrs. T. Beggar (Pahiatua), B. Raynor, and L. H. Spackman were the prize-takers. In bantams R H. Spademan took all the first prizes. E. Playl© (Dalefield) won all the prizes for turkeys and geese. In Aylesbury ducks C. F. Hines, H. J. E Meyerick, and G. Watson were the principal prize-takers. In pigeons D. Murphy, R. E. Crawley, H. Madely, and J. W. Holland (Wellington) were tho principal prize-takers. T‘>c North Island championship was won by D. Murphy (Wellington), with an Oriental Frill. In canaries N. Lute (Dannevirke), H. L. Pikett (Masterton), and Miss B. Cross- (Masterton) were the prize-takers.
