CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.
The fourth annual Christian Endeavour Convention was held on Good Friday at the AA’esleyan Church by the Presbyterians and Methodists, the Savatiou Army joining in, aiid was most successful. Some country members "of the Endeavour were present. At 11 a.m. a service was held at St. Andrew’s Church, the speakers being the Revs. Grant and Walker, there being communion afterwards. At 3 p.m. an address entitled “Bible Study for Spiritual Growths” was given at the AYesleyau Church. A tea meeting, provided by the United Societies, took place at 5 p.m. The arrangements were excellent- and all went off satisfactorily. A united open air meeting was held at the firebell at 7 p.m., when Air. Harle spoke about the Endeavour Society and the work it had done. At 7.30 p.m. the people adjourned to the AA’esleyan Church, where a mass meeting was held, conducted by Adjutant Dickens. Air. Harle (of the Society of Friends) addressed the audience, followed by Air. Falk, who delivered an extremely interesting and lucid history of the Christian Endeavour movement throughout the vcrid, since its inception. The proceedings were brought to a close by the llev. Grant delivering an evangelistic address.
