A MURDER.
The Coroner at Cue (West Australia) held an enquiry last Blonday regarding the death ol Bliehaol Norton, a dry-blower who was murdered at liis camp on the cloning of the 11th inst. The two prinei--pal witnesses were James Walker and his wife, who first heard the shots. The latter said she heard an altercation. Naughton cried, “I haven’t; so help me God, I haven’t.” Then tho sound of two blows with a stick, followed immediately by a shot, where heard. Naughton cried feebly. ” Oh! oh ” Then three more shots were heard. James Barnes, a storekeeper with whom deceased deposited gold and money, said he had given Naugliton 220 zof gold on Blay 31, which the latter banked, also .£6 in notes. Naughton had several times told him he had an enemy that would be glad to cut his throat. The jury found that Naughton had been shot by it person or persons unknown.
