HARBOR BOARD ELECTION.
Sir, —Your concern about the lack oT interest in the harbor election overlooks one point. No one is in a hurry to take on tile honor of opening the dock, as everyone is afraid of if! Much depends on that work. It lias proceeded as swiftly as the proverbial snail, promises still to provide good' winter work, and must be costing nearly as much as would set new freezing works a-going. If seems to me that, the cost would about keep our fleet docked somewhere for the next generation —that is the interest on the outlay. For the principal we will have another marvellous asset, —I am, etc., ’ RATEPAYER,
