ANOTHER TRAGEDY.
A .CONSTABLE SHOT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Jan. 19. A publican at Auburn was aroused early in the morning by hearing groans in tho bar. Ho found the door open and Constable Long lying on the floor with a shot wound in the back of his head. He died en route to the Hospital. There are indications that Long surprised some burglars, and was shot while investigating.
